Blog #14 (My Alma Mater) Best day of my life; Cavite National Science High School

, by Unknown

It was the greatest opportunity in life. Going to school especially for this exclusive school Cavite National Science High School (Regional Science High School). Wow, big name and school for me. I never thought of passing the entrance exam then that's it Im here and still studying. Still achieving my dreams. This school taught me many things in life. Different lessons. Yes, harships also. And some bad memories in my life. But most of all great memories in my life. I strongly believe that high school is the open door, into the rest of my life. The last days of my grade 9 high school career are fast approaching and I can only imagine  Throughout these three years, I have felt a lot of urgency about graduating high school.  I cannot believe that it has come this fast. I remember my first days of high school. I was just dying to experience all the new and exciting things that awaited me. I was just a shy type freshmen student and now, an active grade 9 student. Next year is my senior year, wow.

Well its K-12 curriculum do I need to continue my studies in CNSHS? Well actually it really depends, it's 50/50. My parent are supporting me whenever my decision is. So I'm not yet sure. Still there's me that really wants to stay. I have heard adults tell me that high school is going to be the best four years of my life. So far, they are right. I am so grateful for the opportunity to experience a public high school. I cherish every experience and relationship that I have made in my first three years of high school so far. Of course, as I move on with my life, I will value the education that high school has granted me. But it is the relationships that I have made with students and teachers that I will take with me as I graduate high school and move on to college right? It is really hard to decide as of now. But my best memories we're here. I've learned a lot of things here. It is my second home now. So it is good to stay and it is better to not? I think there's a great opportunity to me outside. So my decision still depends.

Everyone has heard or been told, “high school is what you make of it.” High school is in fact what you make of it, but it is also the time of great change in everybody. Entering grade nine you still feel like a kid, your post-secondary and career choices are far from top priority. However, by grade twelve we become more mature and grow into young adults. Personally looking back to my grade nine self and comparing her to my grade twelve self of today, I am able to see changes in my character, my athletics and my goals. Well this school, honestly I really love this. And I hope staying here will be my future decision and choices in my life.

Blog #13 (Heroes of Our Lives) #Salute 44 Fallen Heroes

, by Unknown

Amen! For this great 44 Fallen! Salute! For you sacrifice lives! You are the great people I'll never forget! These men knew, right from the start, that their lives are on the line every single time. These men were willing to offer the ultimate sacrifice to achieve the objective. All indications point to the fact that they achieved their objective: they got the international terrorist which is the target of the clandestine operation. Let’s not kid ourselves certain sectors of the police and military, the MILF even, had to be kept in the dark. The commanders and men knew very well that things could go wrong in any operation, as it did in this one. There's no need to blame anyone else for this tragic. It happens for a reason. Happens for a realization in our lives. We must give importance for these great soldiers who always fight for our peace and safety. It's their duty. And I'm very proud of them. I thought this is for fictional but no, it is the reality. They truly show us that they became responsible enough for their duties. Thank you is not enough. You, great heroes were the most great things I've encountered in my life. Filipinos will treasure this one of a kind and extraordinary things you've done.

It was not anger that led us. It was guilt. And shame. These men died as heroes, yet our  President, their Commander-In-Chief, was not there the very first chance he got. We have to let them know, as they take their place in a favored corner of the afterlife, that we value their sacrifice. We don’t have to hold their caskets or shake the hands of their families. We should not take selfies. We just have to be there. Yes, its not right to blame anyone. Yes it happens and I cant do anything to bring them back but I have this promise in myself. I'll never forget them. Thank you my true heroes #Salute44Fallen. And respect for Mr. President Aquino and the Commander In Chief.

Thank you, gentlemen, for your sacrifice. "Sa inyong mga pamilya, taos-puso po kaming nakikiramay."

, by Unknown

First Circle of CNSHS (Wake up early)

In the first circle you'll encounter the gate of CNSHS, you can see the Guard of CNSHS. For you to able to see them, the students must go to school every 6:30 every Monday morning and Tuesday to Friday every 6:45. When you cam 7:00 am you'll see. You'll be waiting like an idiot there outside the campus. Early birds were better than buzzer beater.

Second Circle of CNSHS (How Do You Look)

In this second circle of CNSHS you'll see the students wearing complete uniform, proper haircut of boys, and the girls must do the ponytail in their hairs. Students must wear white socks and black shoes. How do you look will depend if you dont follow this rules. You'll be the different one and teachers will always notice you so what are you waiting for? You'll follow or you'll be different?

Third Circle of CNSHS (Responsibilities)

In this third circle of CNSHS you'll encounter the door (your room ofc) you can see the clean and organized chairs. Once you enter this door. Be ready for your responsibilities. It is now your duty to clean your designated area and to make sure that under you chair doesnt have any trash or else this beautiful yet strict teacher will make sure that your bag will be outside and you'll take the whole trash of your class. When you sit, you must take care of your responsibilities

Fourth Circle of CNSHS (Your Voice, Your Actions)

In this fourth circle of CNSHS you'll see students minimizing their voices and whenever their voices says their actions will do. Controlling your emotions and acting as a scholar student. It's like simple rules but this rule may ruin your reputation if you dont. Simple rules to follow but when no expect to face the breathtaking teachers inside your building that will make you not to do it again.

Fifth Circle of CNSHS (English Only Please)

In this fifth circle of hell you'll expect more thrilling consequences. Students are ruled to speak in English except fot ESP,AP and FILIPINO time only. Yes another simple rule but it's not easy. One wrong move, you'll be facing the drowning grades of yours. Speaking in english all the time, well if you dont, your grades will be like your lovelife too, 0.

Sixth Circle of CNSHS (Cheaters Never win)

In this sixth circle no more mercy. Students will be caught cheating will expect the expelled or weeks of suspension. Yes, no more mercy. Do it once if no one notices good but do it twice ha, you'll be punished to death (grade)/

Seventh Circle of CNSHS (Bullying X)

Seventh circle of CNSHS, bullying is not good. Especially when you enter your room, your actions will depend now. You can't bully someone or else, double punishment. Bully ? No conscience ha, okay reminder you'll have this red card (you'll see it on your good moral) having a bad record in your life is like having a sentenced jail in your life. Be good dear.

Eight Circle of CNSHS (New Generation)

In this eight circle, students nowadays are changing, technologies brought them. I mean these gadgets. Entering the first circle up to this, you cant be caught having gadgets. It may lead you to death (confiscation or your guardian will be called). Other one is the school properties. You cant do anything to them because its a government property. It is a sacrade one. Second one is the teachers table, you cant be there. It is a respectful and privacy property of the teacher. If you dont follow this? Simply? Not only your grades but your personality will be down. So Im counting on you. Fear this eight circle.

Ninth Circle of CNSHS (RESEARCH)

The last circle. The last day of your lives also. If you dont accomplished having research. Your future will depend on this. Transfer/Kick out and whatever the head teachers will do to you if you dont have this reasearch. So now, be serious of this research to finished this circles of CNSHS and for you to go to Purgatorio now (College)/

Blog #11 (How Pope Inspires Me) Pope Francis;Papa Kiko Thank You!

, by Unknown

Why is he really here? What is the purpose of his visit? The questions that been roaming around my mind. In fact, I really don't have any idea of the personality of Pope Francis. I thought he's a strict and serious man. Yes, as a Pope, he must have that kind of personality. But I'm wrong. He's like an ordinary person like us. Ordinary human being like us. Simple and kind worshiper of God like us. And a good father, friend, and pope to us. Yes, I really adore him so much. Seeing his smile. His smile that brings everyone a new hope and faith. And the fact that he visited us. Wow, it was a great privilege to us. There was this article that says, "Don't forget the poor" and "How I would like a church that is poor and that is for the poor." Pope Francis is a simple man living a simple life, but doing extraordinary things. Pope Francis chose the name Francis after St. Francis, a man of poverty and peace who protected and loved God's creations." Yes he is a totally a good man.
Pope Francis inspires me. One single act of kindness can go a long way. It feels good when he's here, then I am hopelessly devoted for God but when he came, my faith in God became stronger and brighter. I don't know but he has this great charisma and some things you can only find by his personality. It's like that.

While watching him I thought of an answer to my questions. He was here because to and for us Filipinos reunite again with our faith. For us to and our faith to became stronger. Whatever happens to us we must think of it as an trials and errors of us in life. Living with greatness and compassion. Like this typhoon Yolanda. Pope Francis gave his sympathy and mercy. It really shows to his face that he is concerned and affected by this big problem coming to us Filipinos. What he wants is that, no matter what happens, we cant blame ourselves nor anyone to any problems will come to us. God is with us. We can't think of any bad reasons with this.  And the most vulnerable are the poor. The Yolanda victims and survivors represent all of us and the rest of the world – especially the poor — that are vulnerable to the effects of climate change.

As we welcome Pope Francis we too are invited to share his concern about the environment and about climate change. We need to look at our own lifestyle and to act to mitigate or reverse climate change. As PCP II reminds us, we are called to “care for the needy and care for the earth.” We thank you Pope for this one of a kind experience for us Filipinos. We thank you for everything it means so much for us. Such an honor and greatest privilege to us. God Bless you and stay strong! You are always in our hearts! We love you!

"Mercy and compassion must therefore be concretely expressed not just in our care for the poor but through our action to care for the environment. (Fr. Amado L. Picardal, CSsR or Fr. Picx of Iligan City is now based in Manila as Executive Secretary of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines-Basic Ecclesial Communities. He biked from Baclaran in Metro Manila to Iligan in Mindanao from December 10 to 23, to call attention to climate change and the survivors of killer typhoons)."

Blog #10 (Overseas Filipino Workers) Striving Hard: Heroes

, by Unknown

The economic contribution of overseas Filipinos is substantial. Their remittances sustain their families and contribute to poverty reduction. Although, the remittances may not have a wider contribution to national economic growth, it has definitely improved the lives of many families who benefit from the money flows from their family members who are working overseas.
“ In the Philippines, it is a well-known fact that there is a great number of Overseas Filipino Workers. The number is so great that each probably has at least one relative who is an OFW. However, not only is the number of Overseas Filipino Workers great, but also constantly increasing. Statistics show that the number of Overseas Filipino Workers has grown to 1,470,826 workers from 1975 to 2010 (Wu and Hebrona). One could possibly infer that over the years, Filipinos have begun to become more interested in work outside rather than in their motherland. At first glance, it could possibly be thought of as something harmful to the Philippines, with their own countrymen leaving their home at an increasing rate. However, it is actually the other way around, as it greatly benefits the country’s economy in its GDP through their annual remittances.” - By Gabriel Yoyo

However, what should be more importantly noticed rather than the benefits of Filipinos leaving their country is why they leave the country and look for work abroad. Well today I can experience those having my sister works abroad for us. First of the many reasons is that some Filipinos use the excuse to go abroad through their work in order to avoid and escape personal problems that they experience back at home. An example of a personal problem that they escape from is marriage issues. Some Filipinos (mostly female), go abroad in order to escape their marriages, to avoid confronting these problems. Another reason as to why Filipinos pursue work abroad is that they are encouraged to do so by relatives who already live or work abroad. In a very literal way , a home is the child's first school. A home as defined by the Webster Dictionary is “ the place where something originated and developed ” Therefore, a home is where a child gains his first exposure to the skills, values and attitudes which would enable him to succeed. Much of his success and achievement in the school is the attached directly to the kind of experience occurs in a home. A home will never be called a home without its members – the family. Family like home plays an important role to a child's development. Parents together create a family environment which fosters the development of skills and attitude necessary to achieve in school. On the other hand, children from poor learning at home have only small chance of excelling. For the most, the joy and satisfaction of personal achievement will have been place beyond their reach by a family which failed to provide the necessary foundation. In every human being are certain drives. One such drive to learn, because of this drive, responsible parents strive for a proper education preparing their children for a bright future. The parents see to it that their children are well prepared for their school experience by creating a learning atmosphere in the home which serves as a vehicle in fulfilling the inherent need on mental stimulation. Well for me, I can experience home sick even tho my sister works 13 years in Paris. I can feel depress sometime being without her especially she is my oldest sister.

As what was clearly describe on the written article, OFW contributed a lot to the Philippine Economic Growth... on the contrary, does the Philippine government have done something in return even in form of services? Heroes think of other people first before they think of themselves. Heroes are unique individuals that sacrifice themselves for the sake of others. I have read many news articles and books about how migrants, overseas workers like OFWs face insurmountable challenges head on with only their faith, hope and determination to carry them through. They strive hard to ensure that their kids future would be bright and that they would live a life that they dream of. What are migrants and overseas workers like OFW’s made of? They are made up of determination, courage, a risk taking attitude, a heart of gold and a lot more intangibles that make them as everyday heroes to a lot of people. They go beyond their call of duty to help their families, to help their country and sometimes people in need even if it means putting him or herself in danger. You do not have be an overseas worker like an OFW to be a hero, you are a hero if you sacrifice a part of yourself to help other people who are need. You are a hero if you can make someone else smile despite the trials and challenges they have. You are a hero if you can make others feel better about themselves. If you do that then you are a hero in that person’s heart.

Blog #9 (Romeo and Juliet: Alternate/Own ending) True love will take; Ultimately Deciding Whether Everybody Lives or Everybody Dies?

, by Unknown

(ending part)
Act V. Scene III
True love will take; Ultimately Deciding Whether Everybody Lives or Everybody Dies?

True love exists. Romeo and Juliet are witnesses of this kind of love. Different challenges in life, they fought for those, they even do anything just to prove to each other how much they care and love for each other. But what if? two powerful words that can change their whole life. Making ideas of what if it will? or what if it may? What if Romeo had stayed helplessly in love with Rosaline instead of Juliet? Or if Mercutio and Tybalt hadn't died?

(Romeo rushes into the Capulet Tomb and finds Paris. He and Paris will fight and Paris Dies)
Romeo: How can you do that??
Paris: I love Juliet so much.
Romeo: If you love her you can’t kill Tybalt, or you can’t do anything harm just because of that. I will kill you. I willll!!!!!!!
(Instead of Romeo weeping for 20 minutes then killing himself, he will arrive there a few moments before she wakes up.)
Romeo: Juliet? Juliet!!!
(Romeo will stare at her for a moment, and notice Juliet moving.)
…..Then he will realize that she is alive and he will thank god for not letting her die.
Romeo: I though you are already dead I can’t live anymore if that would happen
Juliet: (Can’t speak thoroughly) Oh…..Ro…..meoo…..
(Then Juliet will sit up and they will kiss.)
After a few minutes, Juliet will jolt up and look at Romeo, remembering the plan that the friar had discussed. She will then ask him about the letter that the Friar sent.
Juliet: Did you receive the letter?
Romeo: What letter? I don’t know?
(Romeo will have no idea of course what she is talking about. So Juliet looks down in confusion and will say something that will shocks Romeo.)
Juliet: I love you Romeo, you are the most precious thing that God gave to me. No one can and will spare us. Were eternal and we’re forever.
Romeo: I’m happy because now I can see your face. I don’t care what they will say anymore. I don’t care what will happen to us. I don’t care about that. As long as you have me and I have you.
(She will say that no matter what she will always love him, but they will never live happily ever after… their families will always be fighting, so therefore they will never be safe.)
She will then suggest that they die together, happy. Romeo, after a few minutes of protest, will look in his hand at the poison he got from the apothecary and stare at it for a moment, then at Juliet. Juliet will look at the vial too and look at Romeo. She will ask him what it is and he will tell her it is a poison he got from the apothecary when he heard that she was dead.
Romeo: I almost die, because I can’t live without you anymore.
(He will also tell her that he planned to kill himself in order to be with her if she really was dead. She will take the vial from Romeo and say)
Juliet:  ‘this is it my love, it’s what we must do to be happy’ Or something like that.
Then they and her will kiss and hug again, and Juliet will drink the first half of the poison. Then Romeo, hesitating a bit, will look at Juliet once more and drink his half. They will look at each other weakly and murmur a few last words to each other before weakly laying their heads against each other’s. After the tragic deaths of the two lovers, the Friar will rush in to see the two of them dead…
(then Friar saw the two laying on the same bed together, smiling because they are happy with each other.)

Veno: Balouis wake up! You’re sleeping again
Balouis: Ughhh… I dreamt about Romeo and Juliet, my favorite book.
Stranger: You are always doing that.
Balouis: Well, it’s not my fault. We’re having a play which we will do an alternative ending for Romeo and Juliet and I think that I have an idea now.
Veno: What is that?
Balouis: Actually I added my name no not name also I am a character on that also
Veno: Okay let me hear...
(15mins of discussing)
Veno: Okay you are insaen c'mon lets go now to school.
Balouis: That would be possible lol YEAH LETS GO NOW.

BALOUIS ENDING:
Juliet wakes up. She glances to her left, surprised to see Romeo by her side, and sees him with the baleful poison that could have made him acarrion. She knocks it out of his hand just when he is going to take the sip and end his life. He was so thankful that she did. "Oh Juliet! I was sodistraught without you. I thought you were gone, you dissembled me." Romeo exclaimed amorously. "I would abhor my life without you Romeo. It is so unbelievable that my parents thought Paris was my betrothed." Juliet said. They were both in dire need to get out of the cemetery before anyone would catch them past their curfew and make them say adieu for the rest of their lives. They started running the opposite way of Verona. Romeo knew a guy named, Balouis.

Balouis agreed to meet them halfway to his house. He gave Romeo and Juliet permission to use his back house that no one is aware of. Balouis denoted that they would be safe, but they could only stay for a fortnight. They began their journey to meet with him. Romeo and Juliet'sdisposition was so flourished with happy thoughts. "Hey, I know a shortcut." Romeo said "Okay well let's take it." Juliet responded. "But, I must warn you it is quite frightening because of the owner of the lot land." Romeo said warningly. "It is okay, I have you with me." Juliet said smiling at Romeo. "Once we get there our choice to leave our hometown will be  inexorable." Said Romeo. "I'm aware, but this is what I want. It's what I have desired since I met you. But, I will never see my parents again, which is very sad for me, I will be sundered from them forever." Juliet replied subtly with solace. "We have a valor to do this and we will go through with this Juliet." Romeo said in a demanding tone. "Of course Romeo, I know this, but It just makes me sad." She said.

They knew they were close to their destination. They saw Balouis. "Balouis!" Romeo screamed. They were both so jocund when they saw him because that is when they knew they would send the rest of their life together because Balouis would direct them of where to live. "We could build a house near a lake or river and have kids of our own! Oh romeo!" Juliet scream so excitedly. "Of course Juliet." Said Romeo. They could see  Balouis. Romeo and Juliet started runninf towards him. They were both so tired from running up the super steep hill so they were verylamented. They were nervous they were going to be in penury though. They really did not know if what it was going to be like. "Ah! Balouis! Yoursemblance is much different than what I remember from the last time I saw you. Balouis, this is my dearly beloved Juliet, we will never besundered again so we had a whole plan. Thank you for being a part of this Balouis." Said Romeo. "Oh it is really no problem nothing I wouldn't do for Romeo." They proceeded forward, Balouis in front. Trot. Trot. Trot. They heard horses in the distance. They felt in solace. "What is that!? Horses? Is it Capulet and Montague coming for us? Romeo no!" Juliet said with fear and despair. They were coming close so we could even see their visage. They were neither Capulet or Montague.
